Assessment Procedures

In addition to our internal assessment procedures we also complete the national assessments detailed below.

Key Stage 1 - Years 1 & 2

In Year 1, all children go through the Phonics Screening Check. This consists of reading 40 real and nonsense words. Those who do not achieve the pass mark (usually 32) will take the assessment again in Year 2.

in 2023 91% of our pupils achieved the expected standard by the end of KS1.

Key Stage 2 - Years 3-6

In Year 4 the children complete the Multiplication Tables Check - 25 times tables questions. This is completed online.

In Year 6, the SATs take place in May each year. This consists of tests in Reading, Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. We hold an information evening for parents each year where we explain how to support your child at home. Below is the most recent meeting information.
